Pros

The stone mountain hike to the top of the rock is one of the great athletic adventures of Georgia.
It will take almost an hour, and there are several stopping points on the way up to help you catch your breath and enjoy the view.
The top of the rock has 360 degree views of the surrounding skylines with several areas to rest and relax.

There are bathrooms at the top and bottom, but there are no bathrooms during the one hour hike to the top.
There is very little shade if you choose to do this in the summer.
This is a very popular hike, so expect people to get into your shots and in your way.
