Pros

  • This is a MUST-SEE waterfall for every waterfall hunter.
  • For families this park has trail options that are easy for children.
  • For athletes this park has 600+ steps that will exhaust you while giving you the best views of the waterfall.
  • The 8 mile (4 hr) AT Approach Trail begins at the visitor center and takes you on a backcountry hike to Springer Mountain.
  • Everything about this place is fun, and you can expect to want to return with more of your friends and family so everyone can experience it.
  • Nice trout fishing at a stocked pond below the falls.
  • Some of the trails are paved, but I can't guarantee that they are wheelchair accessible.

Cons

  • No major negatives.
  • It's very popular, so expect it to be crowded in the middle of the day and on weekends.
  • Unless you're lucky you can expect to have other people in your pictures.
